Tutti-Fruiti-Sweetie I LOVE WEEKENDS! All the shopping (*blurps), food, catching up recharges me! MMMMmmm!!! As you know, most of us are doing Ching-Ming this weekend. So, effectively I only have Friday night and Saturday to recharge. Been out for a day but is still feeling energetic! How come? It must be the wonders of a slice of Mango and Strawberry Tart from Fruits Paradise! Been wanting to try Fruits Paradise for quite sometime, but somehow either there's no seats or I am arriving at closing time = not much selection. Nevertheless, I finally had the chance to try their Cake and Tea set at $9.80 today! The slice of mango cake looked so pretty and is very tasty too. Not forgetting, it goes well with my choice of flavored tea! (",) I have to admit that the beautfully decorated tart makes me feel so guilty with every single slice between my fork! Japanese fruit tarts have been my latest craves! Of course, that's secondary to... ... shopping! Recently, I have been splurging quite a bit. Really very very guilty and I have to stop! Alrightely, Before I go... .. wana show you my scraf! Tied a ribbon on my very plain top! Simple add on to spice up a plain top. Just what I need for a fuss-free weekend. Night-ey! Pour Amour Feburary... also known as the month of ... ... (Did this on my cable car ride in HK, nice?) Just before I left for Manila, I kinda have already celebrated V-day in a way Hence, it was with much anticipation to quickly finish my meeting so I can fly home fast fast fast. Though V-Day is another merchants' day and I very much do not encourage extravagant spending (which you'd usually get less than what you would normally would), but nevertheless its a special day to celebrate your love with your loved ones! Since pictures paint a thousand words, here's something from my mum which also expresses my message to all my beloved friends and loved ones: Can't do without the special peeps in my life! MMMMuuuuacckkkkks! Love you all, deep deep! LOL Labels: appreciation 11:55 PM

Merry-go-round Give your heart a song to sing! Manila business trip falls on the weekend before V-day! As usual, I packed my luggage in the morning, just in time for the flight. Here's a quick view of the hotel: Was nicer than I thought. But the pillow is so flat and the mattress is weird! The support is just... off and I suffered from massive insomnia (-.-) Still can't get to sleep after much tossing and turning - hoping to get tired and knock out! So I woke up feeling so lethargic. Nevertheless, a new day at a new city always brings excitement! 1. Greeted with morning flowers on the table; 2.Good selection of breakfast buffet; 3.Beating the traffic to hit the malls; 4.Whereabouts are we man! As our hotel is located right in the middle of the CBD, so there aren't many choices apart from shopping. Nevertheless, Girls are just girls... ... we google-ed and mapped out all the shopping malls within Manila to conquer! Would say it's a good bonding session + lots of walking with my colleague ala friend! After visiting all the malls, we concluded that Manila's malls are humongous! Also tried some local food and not forgetting, D.R.I.N.K.S! Can you believe that we actually went out in the evening on our own (yes *nod *nod) to shop and of course... chill with a glass of wine and oh! by the way, we also met a crazy cab driver that made my friend threw up her dinner. Though such experience was not appreciated but still, it was an interesting experience. Was thinking to myself on all the independence and freedom which I have been enjoying. Always feel that it is such a luxury to be able to run along where wanderlust leads! *Screams : I wana see the world!! Know it's a little random, but before I enter dreamland... ... I guessed I am still feeling the CNY festive mood: Should have posted this earlier but as you know we were rushing to close off for CNY festive holidays then, I was rushing to clear my in-trays before I leave for Manila. Nevertheless, here's wishing you another prosperous year and many more to come! Lucky! Lucky! Labels: Holiday 11:50 PM

Lunar New Year Preparations The most celebrated festive occassion among all Chinese! Immediately rushed home after work to help out with the last minute preparations to turn my house RED! There you go: That's not all, it's a touch of red-ness everywhere: I meant everywhere... ... including myself - i.e. My nails: This is probably the only time within the year that I would wear Red, as most of you would probably know that I am not a fan of Red because I find this colour rather loud on me. But looking at my nails, I think I have became more receptive to this colour - signs of maturity, maybe? AAhhhhH!!! Let's save the Reunion Dinner for another post... what I want to show you is my creations at 2am!! Reflections from the lightings made it difficult to capture the design clearly. My family tries to stay awake throughout the night (shou-ye) - in olden days, people believes that by doing so your parents get to live longer. But for us, it was more behind this tradition. We are all busy people so once we get together, our conversations were endless. So, at 2 am my youngest sis had this crazy idea of having her nails painted in green, pink and purple. Preferably with some leopard prints. Why? Cos it's someone's lucky colour and design... ... Since it is a brand new beginning in the new year, her sis (myself) decided to be kind to do her the favour. Having completed the nails + this post, takes me to dawn and I can go get some sleep before my Ang Baos come in! Wishing you a Happy & Prosperous Lunar New Year filled with abundance joy! Win lots of money too! Big Buddha from Lantau Island, HK Labels: fun 5:03 AM

Ketttt-up! I've been busy. She's been busy. I'm here in SG. She's in Aussie. But one thing for sure, this long distance friend-ship is still surviving via... WHATSAPP! Seriously! No more MSN. No more expensive overseas calls. Forget about SMSes too. She's one of the first few friends whom I got to know when I did my Uni in down under. We had lots of fun together, cried together, skip classes together, tried scuba diving together, went cruising with the boys, shop-till-we-drop, gossips over cibo coffee and not forgetting, watching how each each other throw up after drinking. Hmmm... maybe I should have reserved the last comment. LOL So many memories of yesterdays as we spoke about living-outside-on-your-own. Within that few hours at Timbre, it was a massive download, speed-catch up and thankfully the band was good so our neighbours was attentive to our "noise"! Very hearty bonding session! - that explains the lack of photos too. Bonding sessions like these reminds me of the good o' times, which also in a way... ... makes me realise... ... I have gotten older again. (-.-) I should plan for a trip to re-visit the place and spend a good few weeks there to wind down, catch up with the special ones and of course, to indulge in the pleasures which I can't get here. I want a winter holiday every year! - this reminds me my HK photos are still in my camera. *Blurp! Happy. Labels: fun 8:20 PM

Ti-bits & Junk Food I bought 2 suitcases of snacks from HK already. A lot of junk food! My sis' is taking a connecting flight in Taiwan and she got me one of my favourite junk food:If you are wondering how it taste like because of its weird name, "Iron bird eggs"... ... well, it taste like chewy-rubbery tea eggs. (Don't worry, neither iron were wasted nor any bird was harmed in the process of preparing this snack.) She also bought another suitcase of tibits. So now, my family is stuffed with lots of snacks and my mum wouldn't have to buy any more new year goodies! *Run.... gonna pile a few inches on my waist again... ... Labels: fun 8:28 PM

In hindsight 2010 ... ... ... An eventful year at work with targets met and exposure was great Another good year in the family and counting Yet another disasterous year in Money (LOL) Nevertheless, I am super thankful to the dearlies who stood by my side throughout this years, especially to those buddies who cause my spendings... ... Have to confess that I had a few drinks and I was really happy that night! Irregardless of year highs or lows, 2010 is still a memorable one for me. When life throws you lemons, make LEMONADE! The people who knew too much: CNY dinner cum White Elephant Exchange which ended at 6am the next day) Caught in Action: Yey(!!) to my first Parasail experience. Seat was too big and I had to squeeze my thighs to prevent slipping off the seat! - one on the right! Hella good time with jolly people: I know this may be the most unflattering shot for everyone, but it's only when you have cheery companions that you can get this effect - ohhh hopefully I can get away with posting this LOL! Whirlpool - extreme turbulence and high danger: My first water-rafting adventure in SABAH. Wheee! Definately not for the weak heart! My crazy love for the double C logo and will never change(!!): Love me, Love me not. Some wonky people dared me for an act of courage: Behind those glases is a NOOB! Looks awkwardly beautiful and I love this photo. Saw Sakura flowers but not in Japan: Fairy-tale birthday celebration: Perhaps I should organise a Birthday Party at Macdonald this year! Just like the world is ours: Addicted to you Precious resources - the girls at work. (I can't do without you) Before the year ends, I was hoping to get some cold weather. Made a last minute trip to HK and had my first cable car ride! It is very scary when the wind blows strongly. My heart shakes with the cabin ^.^ Sugar in bitter. As usual, O' Pearlie I miss you. In order to move on, you MUST know 1. why you FELT the way you DID and 2. WHY you NO LONGER need to feel it. Will talk about my TO-DOs for 2011 later. PEACE OUT. *Blow kisses! Last Day of 2010 ALOHA!!! Happy tunes. Laughter. Screams. New dreams. I'm looking forward to 2011! It's the time of the year where we re-looked at how we flare for the year as well as to re-engineer new challenges and hopes for the new year! Looking back at 2010, it's a year of work, work and more work with so many late nights in the office. So, this is something that I really look forward to change. (picture says it all) Do more new things! Do things differently! Meet more wonderful people too! Thought I should share this song, because the lyrics is meaningful. There you go, FIREWORK by Katy Perry. Do you ever feel like a plastic bag Drifting through the wind Wanting to start again Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Like a house of cards One blow from caving in Do you ever feel already buried deep Six feet under scream But no one seems to hear a thing Do you know that there's still a chance for you Cause there's a spark in you You just gotta ignite the light And let it shine Just own the night Like the Fourth of July Cause baby you're a firework Come on show 'em what your worth Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!" As you shoot across the sky-y-y Baby you're a firework Come on let your colors burst Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!" You're gonna leave 'em fallin' down-own-own You don't have to feel like a waste of space You're original, cannot be replaced If you only knew what the future holds After a hurricane comes a rainbow Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed So you can open one that leads you to the perfect road Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow And when it's time, you'll know You just gotta ignite the light And let it shine Just own the night Like the Fourth of July Cause baby you're a firework Come on show 'em what your worth Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!" As you shoot across the sky-y-y Baby you're a firework Come on let your colors burst Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!" You're gonna leave 'em fallin' down-own-own Boom, boom, boom Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon It's always been inside of you, you, you And now it's time to let it through Cause baby you're a firework Come on show 'em what your worth Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!" As you shoot across the sky-y-y Baby you're a firework Come on let your colors burst Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!" You're gonna leave 'em going "Oh, oh, oh!" Boom, boom, boom Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon Boom, boom, boom Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon So, let's all drop the inner fears and do something wild, something different for the first time! You are a firework!!! Wishing you an advance HAPPY 2011. **throw confetti**

Fancy some ink? Once in a while, despite everyone's busy schedule our team will make time for a compulsory team-bonding activity. Not another round of drinks this time. But, it's strictly business and nothing personal.... because... .... you wouldn't believe it that our team bonding exercise is... ... PAINT BALL (!!), or pain-ball... ... you decide! Either you choose to survive, or you choose to be shot! - Sshhhhhh... It's payback time for the shitty jobs that your seniors make you do and that calls for all smiles and the hyper-energy before the game! All hyped up and discussing "strategies" away to take each other down. Apart from being briefed on the rules of the game, how to operate the air-gun (o'watever you call it), when you are on the "firing" ground... ... you have to take instructions from the game master! Do not be a noob. Do not be a noob, i repeat. Girls, don't worry about not having enough stamina to get through the game. Having played the game, I realised that it's not all about firing here, but... ... it means a great deal to find a good spot to ambush yourself. Why? 1. To save yourself from being someone's target 2. Prevent those whom you shot to come after you - cheeky i know! 3. Shield yourself as you are skiving. LOL Looks like some serious business is going on! Certainly (!!) because you are giving your colleages memorable bruises to bring home! But it's all worth it for half a day of thrill followed by booze and snacks to end the session. Makes it a good way to start the weekend! Feeling peaceful and sleepy. Zzzzzzzz Labels: fun 9:10 PM
